We do not have the staff on the farm but organise delivery and loading so trucks spend no more than 30 minutes on the farm
it is possible but needs management imput

I think it is more 'pointed' than that.
The whole distribution centre is designed and run to maximise benefit to the retailer. The hauliers have never been shown or been taken into consideration.
The current shortage of drivers might educate their priorities a little.

Hauliers have been thought of as cheap storage on wheels for too long. It doesn’t work when there aren’t enough drivers to have lots just sitting idle just waiting to unload.

Had a call today about my delivery for next week.asked if there was plenty of stock.was origin at Yarmouth.told loads on dock and need it cleared to get more in which was waiting on boats to get unloaded.hardly seemed like a shortage.was told they are having a job getting farmers to take it and a lot want to wait to spring for delivery but they would then have to pay spring prices

I paid 350 , which is more than I would like , at 700 I'd take my chances next spring .

So what would everyone’s opinion be on the cut off price? When is it to expensive or will people buy it no matter what?

i really couldnt answer that , just glad its in the shed at historic values. when crops look as as good as they do now after the last two dreadfull autumns id hate to starve them!

and so it should be ! last load of n delivered yesterday if the invoice is in the post in the morning the cheque will be in the post box in the evening , i know our independant merchant has a good memory! if it was frontier id wait till the new year.

or are have they no space because they hung onto grain
