hi guys have a john deere 6930 50k 2012 model autoquad,which came with 540/65/28 and 650/65/38 goodyear tyres,tyres replaced at 5600 hours and downsized a little to 480/70/28 and 580/70/38 klebers.problem is at 50k im getting an awful road noise in the form of a droneing noise.(never had noise in the goodyears the whole time).what are peoples thoughts on this problem,any help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.I was thinking of changing the tyres again to michelins in the 480 and 580 sizes but afraid to spend the money and be no better.

Will mainly be down the the tyres themselves. Used to drive a valtra that had Michelin’s on they were replaced with BKT’s. The BKT’s were shockingly loud at 50k, they were 650/65/38, 540/65/28

Angle and tread pattern will make all the difference. Cheaper tire can have lugs further apart causing a droning vibration. Try playing around with pressure and see if it helps.

There was a 6930 heading down Honiton bypass the other day pulling an empty 2 axle bale trailer, the thing was bouncing down a smooth road at every wheel turn, I have not seen anything like it before.

bkts on my little massy are a lot noisier than the original goodyears ,sometimes saving a few hundred extra at the time isnt always the best economy!

Standard or Premium with front suspension? Our 6630 standard can get a right bounce on. If I was needing to do any significant road haulage with it, I wouldn't.
