Rained every morning but Monday, looks like it’s cleared off the east coast now and going to a more westerly so should dry a bit
I am not sure better than the last 2 yrs was difficult to surpassDrilling beautifully here, and it's drying over, much better conditions than last 2 yrs.
Hope to finish tomorrow
leicesterWhere's here?
No, but this last 10 days has been pretty ideal, managed to roll it all and got pre ems onto good damp tilth.I am not sure better than the last 2 yrs was difficult to surpass
Since sat aft it’s gone down hill here so just hoping it’s gets it’s sh!t together so I can get my now delivered beans in.No, but this last 10 days has been pretty ideal, managed to roll it all and got pre ems onto good damp tilth.
This time next year Rodders.....
Well at least unlike 2019 0% and 2020 85% we are drilled up on wheat anywayNo, but this last 10 days has been pretty ideal, managed to roll it all and got pre ems onto good damp tilth.

Every year when we roll I say never again! Lemken ph drill so press wheels give pretty good seed to soil contact, but we have a lot of gravel so I try to roll despite my misgivings. Let 650/65 r42 down to 10psi or less and looks ok at the time but always shows up on this light land. I should just buy a 12m set of rolls and do everything in the spring instead I think. Despite the sand if we get heavy rain the stand can look sad for a while. We plough and press everything so its firm enough underneath.I’ve resisted all this rolling . Reckon with a press on front of tractor and a bloody big packer on power Harrow, it gets rolled enough in the autumn . Time will tell if it’s the right decision, but last year it came very wet and rolled headlands got knackered. Ground will take rain better if not rolled to within an inch of its life .
Won’t force W beans in, if push comes to shove, wait until spring, they will be fine.Since sat aft it’s gone down hill here so just hoping it’s gets it’s sh!t together so I can get my now delivered beans in.
Is it not early for kerb ?drying lovly here , kerb on osr, should finish cereal spraying tomorrow. what a diffrance on the last 2 years it been a breeze!
I have decided on a no rolling unless it's absolutely bone dry rule, So far I am happy with the results.Every year when we roll I say never again! AHH!Depends if using generic kerb.....then astrokerb....then a different generic kerb.
god oh sorry agronomist said get it done, fair frost last night. Is it not early for kerb ?
Just put my postcode in the application tool and it gives me a red light saying conditions unsuitable. Obviously I'm not in your area.
I'm no expert, so probably doesn't matter.god oh sorry agronomist said get it done, fair frost last night.
we used astro kerb.I'm no expert, so probably doesn't matter.
I've got astrokerb to do mine but not going yet.
It’s looking reasonable and the soil is not bad at the moment just wish they had got them here on time. Truck driver said 2 farms that morning had told him to keep them on the truck as they were too lateWon’t force W beans in, if push comes to shove, wait until spring, they will be fine.
The whole country is green today I wouldn't worry about it.god oh sorry agronomist said get it done, fair frost last night.
What do you use to drill them with?Won’t force W beans in, if push comes to shove, wait until spring, they will be fine.
It depends on the conditions, but usually I’ll use the horsch co on Metcalfe points, but under the right conditions (by that I mean dry) I’d use the 750.What do you use to drill them with?
