The NI/ROI Protocol

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Geoffrey Donaldson, emboldened by the article 16 rhetoric from Lord Frost, declared this morning that there won’t be a deal on the protocol between EU and UK. What an excellent outcome that would be for Geoffrey and the DUP.

But barely had Geoffrey released his statement, when the redoubtable Lord Frost stood up in the House of Lords, and completely changed his tone on pulling article 16. Looks like the hardening up of the stance being taken by the EU, and the threat of a trade war, is bringing Frosty to his senses.
It’s what the tories do.
Fighting talk for the domestic audience and then capitulate to the Eu
They must be dizzy from all the u turns

You could at least spell his name right, Jeffery not Geoffrey. ;)

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😏😂😂😂 Dominic Cummins reveals that Boris didn’t know the real function or meaning of the customs union, until Frosty explained it to him, 10 months AFTER the withdrawal agreement was signed. 😂😂😂😃😃😂.
As @Danllan says, best keep voting for the self same Boris until something better comes along. 😑

So will he won't he?
Will Boris trigger Article 16?
Yes or No.
If he does pull the trigger, it won’t because he is concerned for the union, or the good of NI. Rather it will depend on how much he needs to keep the plebs distracted from the ongoing and deepening pit of sleaze and corruption in the ranks of the law and order party.
If he doesn’t pull it, it will be because he realises he can’t afford to pee off the yanks.

the USA is a issue anymore, he know what ever he doesn't he won't get a deal with the USA while Biden is the pres, so a usa deal is the next man's problem.

a more pressing issue is the AUS/NZ deal which is yet to be sign off yet. and both of those countries also have a very big "irish" pop which could bring pressure to bear on their leaders not to sign,

From my perspective the NIP must not be seen as successful , Northern Ireland business is booming , and that is because NI is still in the Single Market. And that would be proof of the harm being wrought by Brexit.
Boris would rather get his pet oaf to keep pushing until the EU say enough, he can then pull A16 and have a trade war . The useful idiots will cheer him on and it'll take everyone's mind off the sleaze and corruption problems.
The Tories don't give a sh!t about NI, it costs them more a year than the EU did, get rid and save a few quid. People will just be collateral damage.
Don't forget Boris saying" f**k business" and " let the bodies pile high".
