Wish our packer roller would look that shiny. No matter what you do it has always half inch of soil stuck to it acting like a pernament brake.Having upgraded to guest hydraulic markers a few years back, the original accord system has now been re-purposed for remote meter wheel lift. Note use of baler twine as infinitely adjustable chain link. Rest of chain off front press after it wore through. Challenge now is to remember to drop it after encountering and levelling a mystery hole in the field. View attachment 989177View attachment 989176

Missed opportunity for baler twine instead of cable ties.Filling the Honda pump petrol tank on the water cart this morning and it was running out a hole in the bottom as fast as I was pouring it in
Needed a quick replacement. All I could find was an old powdered colostrum container...
View attachment 996714
I suppose I lose points for the cable ties
View attachment 996719
Next problem, the old fuel pipe was too short, but an old bit of pipe off a drenching gun fitted the bill...

Drilled a hole, screwed in the union (complete with filter) out of the old tank and put a locking nut on the inside - that's why I needed something with a big top, so I could get my hand in.How did you connect to pipe to the bottom of the plastic tub ?
Ford 555 ?On the subject of fuel tanks, not sure if it should be here or in the WTF thread but here goes…..
Digger stopped with filter in tank full of gunk few weeks ago, tank off and pressure washed it to reveal the bottom like sieve!!!
Drastic measure, cut bottom clean off, cut sheet to size, weld the union from old bottom into the sheet and sandwiched the sheet back in between the top and original bottom!!!

It’s not back on yet but poured some water in and pressurised it with airline to check. Digger running fine on Morris oil 5 gallon drum with an union welded to the bottom for now
655 so same tank I think, looks same as one we had on 550 years agoFord 555 ?
One here if your repair doesn't behave.655 so same tank I think, looks same as one we had on 550 years ago
I'm afraid you lose points for not having to bodge up pigeon sh1t welds with fibreglass to reduce the leakage to just a damp patchOn the subject of fuel tanks, not sure if it should be here or in the WTF thread but here goes…..

Yes, we use to have one of them aswell. Took it out many times, twice to repair it and a few times to weld the flipping chassis!!!Have you ever tried to take the tank out of a 655c
Must be an early 655 as our 655c had a plastic tank.
well, I forgot to take a phot of the welds. Not really the best on one side after going back to patch a few leaks……I'm afraid you lose points for not having to bodge up pigeon sh1t welds with fibreglass to reduce the leakage to just a damp patch
