Land wanted for Airsoft centre

Hi, I am looking to set up a new Airsoft sporting business, a quick explanation would be Airsoft is like paintball without the mess and the destruction of land, I was due to set this business up in January 2019 but due to the Covid 19 pandemic I had to halt my plans, I have been manager of a paintball business in the past so this new business isn't strictly new to me, i have also played Airsoft for the last 14 years I plan to build a set up a site that is very different from other centres, that I believe has great potential. I am looking for atleast 3 acres of field/partial woodland I am open to offers, if anyone thinks they may have suitable land, if you would like anymore info on myself or on the sport itself please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks, Lee

What would you be offering for 3acres field/woodland. How much would you be using it. Are you covering all costs if change of use is required
Hi, it would be used every Saturday and potentially Sunday, depending on popularity, also some days in the week to carry out repairs/ game field change arounds and such, covering the cost of change of use is an option if required, the rental cost would need to be a reduced rate for the first 4 - 6 months while the site is being set up, then raised when the site has income coming in, as for the actual amount for the right land we would offer anything between £800-£1800 depending if its the right type of land we're looking for.

Thanks

Also I forgot to mention, this airsoft centre won't be your typical one, no scrap cars, no oil drums no corrugated metal rusting and littering the landscape, all structures will be wooden and semi permanent, if anyone was seriously interested drop me an email at [email protected] and I can explain more about my plans, but believe me it's an idea that sounds wacky at first, but it's been tested as a one off event once in the U.S and once in the U.K and its hugely popular, and becoming more and more so, I'm just trying to get in there first and make it permanent.

Thanks again

Lee

No help land wise but I’ve seen the growth of this past time at the northern shooting show, gone from a few stalls in the corner to a full shed! Good luck with your venture
Thanks, I appreciate the help, and it certainly has, when I started playing in the Early 2010s hardly anyone had heard of it, now we're getting 4 or 5 times the amount of players it's great for the sport. Thanks again,
Lee

What are the “bullets” made from, and how do you go about gathering them up afterwards?
Wouldn’t want to be grazing animals there until it’s all cleaned up. Wouldn’t be easy to clean up either but I believe you can get biodegradable pellets making clean up easier. . assuming it’s the same as paintball it’s great fun once in a while. Not something that’s wanted next to your own house thou.

They are plastic, but there is the route of biodegradable pellets which we were looking into due to being more economic, @Flatlander as for paintball, the damage to trees is astronomical, they're stripped of bark and often die and fall down and the sound due to them being co2 powered they're extremely loud, most of Airsofts bad rep Is from its link to paintball, airsoft guns are mostly electric or spring powered so the noise pollution is considerable lower, I agree however any land that is used to airsoft on wouldn't be advisable for grazing animals.

Thanks

From what I understand biodegradable is more expensive as with anything that is supposed to be environmentally better. If after using this land it’s no good for grazing you’ve essentially blighted this land grazing. No rent that you can afford is going to compensate this. Finding an old industrial site might be better.
