just sell it via someone who has assurance and bung them a couple £ a t for their trouble ......... Bent yes ? bent as the corrupt system that created this stupidity ........ NOT ........ traceable as anything actually Red Tractor assured ......... YES

Make a mockery of it all - it will help its downfall showing how easily by passable and therefore how pointless it actually is and we all know loads of farmers are already doing this anyway
Suggested that idea with my neighbour..........didn't go down well

i prefer shredded wheat 100% british wheat

with the uk climate it is unlikely that any wheat has zero ergot
some varieties have a lot more than others
hard wheats are often more suceptable than soft wheats rialto was particulaly bad
and spring wheats are on another level

the answer is a colour sorter or buy wheat from the hotter growing countries

Ah YB Shredded Wheat - now years since I had those - may well get a box again. Now do you eat more than Ian Botham!!

doesn't need to be a neighbour - your collection location could be anywhere, you just need a assured farm to pass the deal through and get some stickers from

it's an utter joke - I know of farms that do this a LOT

Milling wheat £267 for Jan I did say I would sell at £250 ,hmm no idea what to do now

Full spec milling will be over £300 before this season is done IMO - there is a serious shortage and its not easy to import it as it was / UK wheat is priced export competitive right now so no one is going to be importing much in a hurry

Different to previous highs.

When un named traders imported at a touch of a keyboard as the price hit 200/t

Which drove the market down.

Can't do that this time.......

My neighbour is where I store my grain, along with a few other farmers.
I (jokingly of course) suggested that I stop RT and we can split the price difference. A few extra ££ for him for NO extra work.
He was not keen. Repercussions could be severe if - somehow - found out. Fair enough I thought.

Tbh it's (definitely not) sold with his stickers on anyways.

integrity within the scheme that doesn't know what integrity is ! ....... would you believe it :D

load of this goes on I'm sure, even some merchants and mills are at it and is yet another reason why its utterly pointless
