Fella not far from here had the tractor roll forward from behind him and the spike went through the bone in his lower leg. Fireman's cutter didn't touch the spike so his neighbour went with an impact gun to get it off( not very pleasant ). He was more bothered about getting the spike back from the hospital because it was only a few months old.

Put all the blame and one liners aside. This will hopefully remind us all how one of the many many simple things we do on our own everyday can be potentially fatal. We work with large animals, large machines and hazardous products daily on our own mostly and in the middle of no-where with minimal if any training.

It's not the obviously dangerous hazards that people succumb to, it's the everyday mundane that catches them out.

He a VERY Lucky gentleman to be alive to tell the story .

Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls please please put the handbrake on only takes a couple seconds
Depends if the handbrake works. I got trapped between a fertiliser spreader and manitou one morning when loading. Handbrake on, not working properly. When bags emptied and pressure on front wheels changed it took off. I left phone in cab. Luckily someone walking on road next to farm heard me shouting.
