you know on some very old trailer wheels, some wheel nuts were right hand thread, so they would tighten themselves up while driving, maybe the same happened there with one side being tightened up, and the other loosened while driving, doesn't sound very probable to me, but you never know, could be the reason.
I welded new centre’s in a set of combine wheels to go on my old sprayer. Had them waterjet cut to get a good fit. Had to scrape the paint off the planetaries to get them on they were that tight. Once welded the were blasted and sprayed to match the skinnies. Anyhow i put them on and after a part load spraying I checked the wheel nuts and still tight si figured the were good. A few loads later one night the rear one had unscrewed and got wedged under the frame. Put it down to be the paint had rubbed off making it slack.

I'm looking at Powertoolmate to order a twin pack of Makita BL1850 18V 5Ah batteries at £129 inc VAT. Is anyone aware of a better deal?
There is this place, don't know anything about them though. Anyone here dealt with them, seems very cheap?

Lads, I keep contemplating getting an electric induction heater in moments of weakness. Have any of you any experience of them? Are they worth the investment?

I can't justify £3k or I'd probably go for a Stanners i5 but the Sealey 2kW one looks interesting at £500.......

I keep thinking similar, just not sure the Sealey one will be up to my agricultural and commercial demands. :(

Anybody tried one of these on a tractor
Yes , but you will need to use the 12v lead , and be patient take about 15 mins for a 13.6 x 38 tyre without valve core.

My 1/2 impact driver had and lost a argument with a loadall tyre, was a bit under powered in all honesty, what do people recommend, have a small 3/8 one for fiddly jobs so wouldnt mind a makita one with a bit of a welly.

I've got a Hikoki dual volt monster, it is basically the same body as the 3/4 drive one and is probably too much for a lot of jobs.

If you’re quick there’s one here with a 20% off code if you have a nectar card, or 15% without. I’ve got one it’s a beast

They are too expensive for my likes and a good set off bottles is far cheaper and useful my oxygen propane kit including a 50l rent free bottle was about 400 and only once an induction heater would have been handy but the bottles still did it but used fire blankets to help

used the gouging nozzle today first time and it was such a time saver and put a huge smile on my face as it just made the job so easy.

Good tool. There is cheaper about and I’d get the 1/2” one (same tool, different size nose) unless you have a set of 3/4 knocking about. Adapters take a lot of impact away.
