by tube in the usual way , looks like a cordless drill that's all :sneaky:

battery powered drench gun would be a better description i guess.

will still be subject to the same possible 'o ring' issues or bit of air bubble i suppose..

Ahh I'm with you now. I had visions of the original dosing guns where you had to fill them manually and did not think this was progress 🤣

Be a bigger issue if it draws air, won't it? You won't can gently squeeze pointed straight up to draw the air out without wasting some dose

All well in practise dosing to what the animal is but what if the animals have been standing for a while so their 3-4kg less than full bellied, it doesn’t allow for that, what if an animal spits half of it out etc etc etc? Gimmick I think and I’ve torn tendons in my fingers from dosing and bolusing too much for 2 days solid 🤦🏻‍♂️ Agony for 6 weeks too 🤦🏻‍♂️

animal on weigher crate /clamp gun takes its weight from weigh head dose automatically adjusted, theyve been around for awhile.

i prefer the drench bottle hung up anyway if possible ,that stops airbubbles in use, and there must be a way to prime it simply

I’m well aware I’ve seen a few videos from the Southern Hemisphere about a few different makes of them. As Frank says, fine for cattle but sheep are a different kettle of fish.

I have a Te Pari which we use for back lining cattle which takes the weight from the crush and blue tooth for the dose rate. It is very good for that and quick.
Wouldn't want to use it for dosing lambs as it is too cumbersome and I doubt it would be quick enough unless on a conveyor.
is it much easier trigger pull than a ordinary gun tho? was thinking of ewes and fluke dose 15ml /\ , usually set it to use a bit more as a safety factor ..

creaky hand from hedgtriming doesnt help

and do the batteries last well ?
can adapt them to phillips type so smaller nozzle could be fitted for lambs ... dont use smaller lamb guns now anyway just the henke one and hes fairly cumbersome in comparison.

We have a te pari got it on the last grant scheme. Works well with the te pari handler, save a lot of dose especially if something expensive like fluke or the orange wormer and is very accurate when we calibrate it. Our ewes can vary from 60 to 90kg so accurate dosing is a good thing
Don’t find it bulky really but wouldn’t use it in a race as be too frightened of damaging it but it a static position like a squeezer it’s no problem. Just hang up the dose and we have a container tied to the side of the machine to drop it into if I have to leave the machine. Trigger very light so easy to dose with especially with thick fluckicide on a cold day. Never seems to suck any air but only had it a year now, it’s success will depend on its longevity as it cost about £400 after grant which it wouldn’t save here in a year but reckon it will be in profit this year. The battery lasts easily a full day.

I’ve been waiting almost 2 years for a dosing injury operation! Torn a tendon and had similar to what you did the same thing again and after that now I have a trapped radial nerve in my forearm as a result, no joke I could do with an automatic dosing gun, my left arm is starting to play up now.

Cut the tendon in my left thumb (top one ) once ,it went like a jelly:D no use at all then at that time,
got the operation later and they stitched it back together, its not got full 'arc' of use but not far off wasn't too bad an op for them to do.(y)
pity someone other than tepari made these for the competition, but still a pretty limted market i guess.

Does it work with the Tru test weigh head? i read somewhere its only compatible with the Te Pari weigh head and cant seem to get hold of anyone at Te pari to ask
