They all dropped it end of last week to 5.90
As live trade had fallen but has since risen

I dont mind being told im wrong if thats the case because as im a breeder,not a feeder, i dont really know.
All i know is the lad who bought quite a lot of our suckled calf bullocks(£11/1200ish) said he'd never had as big a margin in them , what hed bought ours for against what he was selling his fat bullocks out for(around £2000). I didnt mind, i was pleased he was having a good do out of them cos a lot of years there doesnt seem much margin.
I knew i might raise a few on here saying it but as i said i dont mind being told if im wrong!

There will be a better definition between stores and prime so folks shouldn’t get muddled up when the weather gets worse thoughOr drops when underfinished stock get dumped on the market…
some suckler men useually do well , those that produce the right goods, others well you have to ask yourself!
your making that grub look cheap now!Trouble is I’m now looking at the suckler bulls as a source of muck for next spring!can’t win!

This is what I’m thinking, first time in a long time that I’m not desperado to sell the calves off the cows, was gonna sell twenty of the biggest Bshorthorn bullocks now, just to help the job along a bit and then hang onto the lims an Bb bullocks until end of March maybe when people start thinking about Grazers! Heifers I’m not worried about, run them about either keep 40 or sell twenty in spring, got plenty straw plenty silage, can out winter on dry banks, the whole lot be worth at least 200£ more in spring fever time I reckonI hope there is a shortage of stores come spring. Sheep kill numbers down in Ireland two consecutive weeks running they haven’t got the numbers. Good news really maybe he’s trying to grab them from this end??They are probably trying to do what they did with the beef job
