We have had rain water blow up the roof sheets on our bait room and it’s rather damp in there now! Apart from that, just a wet and windy day

Just drove down to Aberiddy, I could see slates on the road that had come off one of the houses.

Electric went off a few times but came back fairly quick. Several big branches down in my little bit and stuff scattered about but no real damage as such.
Most amusing was the ranting people on Facebook complaining how the local Christmas lights turn on had been "unnecessarily" postponed due to the weather. It was feckin rough!

Someone's stable in the middle of the road

Anyone up in east Cheshire know how bad it is/was. Rang father In law but his signal was terrible. All I heard is they are all ok but some damage

Bit of snow here and very choppy. We always have a bit of bother lighting the woodburner when it’s really windy, but having a right game this morning. On the fourth go now, it just gets going and the wind blows down the flue and blows it out! Then the whole kitchen is filled with acrid smoke.

We often have to have a window open a chink to get it up and running, but we sitting here now on the coldest day of the year so far with a howling northerly wind with two kitchen windows and the lounge window wide open!!

Mains off 11pm and horrendous crashes to be heard all night. Depending on the turbine now, so went at 4am to clear the filters, full of flying bent. Got out the door and Roy was standing there. Went to look and his kennel is matchwood with 2 trees through it. Other kennel ok. Loads of debris on the roads and some other trees down. Going to venture out pm to get shopping. Will take the saw with me in case there are any obstructions. Still no mains. SP says it should be back by 8pm.
