Problem with brakes. Been to it today and brake peddles went straight to floor. Where do i start?

What does the brake reservoir look like? Is it no filler cap with three pipes from the bottom?

Should he nearly full of oil. If it's low, there's a metal tube inside the middle pipe that has slipped down,dropped the level of the outlet and the master cylinders are sucking air. Take the rubber hose off,push the metal tube up until it's flush and put the hose back on tight

I'm going from a maxxum but it's the same reservoir. Looks empty? On a maxxum it's filled with the oil returning from the cooler and the drain pipe regulates the level. Is oil coming in when the engines running?

Is the clutch reservoir anything to do with it? Not sure whats happening when engine running, would i see it?

This is the tank upside down. If you zoom in on the photo you can see metal inserts in the pipes. The two either side go into your brake cylinders,the one in the middle is the outlet pipe and the metal insert sticks up into the tank so the level is kept up. Over time the metal pipe can slip down and it drops the level too low for the cylinders. The tank should be about 2/3 full normally. If it has enough oil the problem is elsewhere.

How much oil was in the tank before you pulled it off?

Full i think. But didn't look much like oil the back end oil probably wants changing

Maybe change the oil before putting it back together. Any leaks from the master cylinders themselves? Looking like a problem with the brakes themselves if notFull i think. But didn't look much like oil

No leak as such. Bit damp below brake peddles in cab. I'm going to put it back together, put some more oil in it as its a bit low and see how we go.

Damp under the pedals could be the cylinders leaking oil out and air back in which would make the pedals soft. Good luck anyway

Put it all back together, put 5-10 litres of all in back end and bled it. All seems good
