20 up to 60£ a hectare, that alright.

Seems unclear if it’s just 20 or 40 or them added together. If it’s just 40 for intermediate it won’t cover some cover crops costs

£20/ha is a drop compared to the BPS it replaces and getting the higher £58 means jumping though significant hoops.

Current stewardship cover crops are at 260 per ha drilled
Only 20% of land entered need a cover crop planted. That's on top of the 70% in green cover (incudes autumn cereals) I think!

I only did 10ha and the slugs ate most of it leaving about 3ha with cover, still i cannot make the payments stack up for time and costs.

I wouldn’t fill it in for £20/acre to be honest because that’s what it’ll cost. It’s got to be profitable

This is why countrywide stewardship agreement numbers are on the up because nobody wants to go into ELMS. At least if they get into stewardship they have 5 years of something realistic.

Of course. All that soil testing and we all know soils can't be healthy without lime.
There is also a supplementary payment for applying a lot of basic slag, of which I am told there is no shortage of around places like Wrexham.
