Good on her 👍
If she's at all interested in racing, get her to watch today's racing on catch up (OK, I'll hold my hands up - I skived off for a couple of hours this afternoon) - there's a couple of young lasses who won good televised races - very inspirational for young 'uns 🏇🏇

only a farmer can feel guilty over 'skiving' at weekend

'fell by the wayside'....again 😭 ....bug going around....mrs spin had it last week but being a 'super being' she soldiered on:rolleyes::).....i ,on the other hand. was 'pole axed' around 11:30 am.....sleep and essential services only after that.....did get the ram lambs wormed and fettled up a bit better prior(y)

wednesday
'births/marriages and deaths'.......poor old 'humpy' (elderly pet wilt) succumbed today.....fortunately she was inside and was comfortable at the end......percy (the teaser) jumped in with the cull ewes....and 'WE'RE OFF!!!

P1040934.JPG

chores done it was ,taking my life in my hands, off to the bank in the very fashionable holt:rolleyes: ......cept it was cold/horrible....no one in the shops but still nowhere to park:scratchhead:.....little did i know but it musta been 'useless jag driver day' in town ...one wedging himself in a pedestrian side street... the other blocking the entire high street with an ,ultimately, futile attempt to park in an unfeasibly small space:rolleyes:...i sought refuge in the kebab shop:love:...'i no see you in long time' said the owner.....i comfort him that others have been collecting on my behalf:)

back home,,,,,, still jaded by my malaise i attempt the final assault on the books.....it goes ok TBH.....be glad now to get them done:rolleyes:....did find we've still been paying insurance on a digger hired in feburary :banghead:...lass at nfu reckons she can get it back though:)

morale a little low at moment....everywhere i look there's stuff needs doing .....don't feel like doing any of it :banghead:.....wet/cold/mud😭.....just gotta plod on i suppose:rolleyes:....looking forward to christmas and HH coming home though:love:

in other news mrs spin been making wreaths and coupla brace of pheasants arrived.....makes a seasonal photo:)

You can have a kabab at any time but usually they look more appetising and taste better the later it is.

Oh and beer helps aswell, I find they're at there best after 8 pints🥴
Mate of mine swore by the Prebab, that is the one consumed on the walk into town after a few drinks at home to line the stomach for the rest of the evening.

My experience with kebabs has been consistently associated with illness next day!

Will either of your photos be on your cards, spin?

Hope you're soon over the lurgy 🙂
My mate used to wake up next to a kabab he'd consumed the night before many a time🤢

Spinneys Christmas card him standing on his door step with wreath in one hand and cock in the other!!!!!(pheasent)

dear diary...this could be my last entry.....a few minutes ago mrs spin kicked me off the telly for 'strictly'.....i was re watching 'the imitation game' having tired of 'peaky blinders' during season two....googling the episode guide and deciding there on in it was gonna be complete tosh.....anyway.... mrs spin had been cooking mince pies for church tommoz and her parting comment 'NO YOU CAN'T HAVE A MINCE PIE':(.....suffice to say ,i have particular fondness for home cooked mince pies and zero self control.....mother in law always states 'jimmy...you can resist anything bar temptation'........SOooo i'll let you guess what just happened :bag:

my impending doom apart it had been a good day(y)...had a lie in.....took beet out to ewes....finished lane repairs ....and scrounged a free crunchie bar outta arkwright all before 1pm......picked up the freezer lambs and had a sit down in afternoon:love:.......sandwiched in between was a fantastic cheque from last weeks mart in the post... £250 more than i'd hoped...the star being a cull ewe at £142:oops:

OK nils desperandum...i have two lines of defence 1/ technicality....mrs spin said i couldn't eat 'one'.....i've eaten two;).....2/ all that 'gangster prog binge' has given me an idea;).....i'm gonna 'fit up' one a the felines 😁😁😁

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Many moons ago my mum had baked a cake amongst other things for the village fete. She was well chuffed, one of the best ones she made she reckoned.

Left it on the side ready for the fete.

Father came in. Mum was out......can you guess what happened 🙈🙈🙈

The entry for the fete was an empty plate with crumbs on it and a note explaining about her gluttonous husband! Didn't win that year 🤔 Made the diss express 🤣

EDIT. Father was in the dog house for a considerable amount of time. I'm talking weeks not days. I can still remember her shouting now 😳🤐
We'll have to see what you get James 🤨
