Local groundwork’s contractor doing this job somewhere, pictures from Facebook. How much would a kennel building like this work out/space?

We're thinking about switching from loose housing to cubicles, mainly to reduce strep uberis
100 cows, Holstein Friesian 8000 litres. All year round calving, mixed dairy sheep & arable farm
At least 6 months grazing, fed grass & maize silage with rolled wheat & soya rape and parlour feeding to yield
What width for head to head cubicles & what width for feed passage
Sorry if I'm hijacking. Any advice great fully received
Thanks

We’re currently doing a shed for fully housed holsteins so a bit different from you but we’ve gone for 17ft head to head cubicles, 12ft passage between cubicles & 16ft from cubicle to feed fence.

Just been quoted £85k for 15mx48m, 4m concrete panels all the way round then Yorkshire boarding. Concrete base is already there. This is for shed only, no cubicles etc. seems ridiculous to me.

I know it doesn’t help you, but i would take that instantly. I want to build a new shed for dry-cows. Just concrete floor with 0,5m deep boxes with straw bedding. Been quoted £290k for a 20x42m building where half the concrete floor and one wall is already there and almost no ground work. That is insane.

If that is erected price too its pretty good, 15m x 48m is a big shed. A 100ft x 50ft roof and legs is 30k ish without the cost of putting it up on top

Just for reference, we have just put up a 105' x 60' clear span shed, for under £5,000 excluding mine and dad's hours, including hiring a telehanlder and man basket from aclanf plant hire, between dad and myself we probably spent 14 days work between us on it

That’s a very heavy quote, £60k would be strong money, £10/ft2.

The kit and the panels would be 50-60k alone i would have thought. Building materials have taken some fearsome jumps in price over the last year. We have just finished a 15 x 36m building and the kit price would have been up at least 30% on this time last year.
