Why are so many posters bashing BoJo?? How about because he's a serial liar, in public and private life, without a shred of personal integrity? And incompetent with it. Farm gate prices are good for the moment but he's doing his best to bugger that up by signing trade deals with NZ and Australia.

I live near Derby where Rolls Royce make the engines for the submarines we have sold to Australia. The workers at RR can buy my beef and lamb because they have a well paid job. Free trade has always made countries richer which ought to run down to farming, why do you want a communist system where you are controlled by the EU?

Tony Blair and his pal Alistair Campbell told the biggest and worst lie when they said Saddam could bomb us in 45 minutes. Boris is an amateur compared to them and that Salmond chap has led a chequered life from what I've read from his court case. Not to mention some of the shenanigans of the MSPs.

I'm certainly no fan of those others you mentioned. What I am is a disgusted former Tory voter. At the moment I can see the UK on the slide from respected former imperial power to laughing stock that can't be trusted. As far as I can see, a lot of this is due to BoJo's lies and belief that rules apply to other people.

Anyway, glad the lying r sole is keeping you happy 👍

The UK as yet hasn't sold any submarines to Australia. The likelihood is they will be built and maintained in the US using the already existing Virginia class as the template, shipyards permitting. However, what might favour the UK is that BAE are currently designing a replacement for the Astute class that would be a better fit as a hunter killer for what the Australians want, but would mean the first Australian submarines probably not entering service until around 2045.

They all want your money, just the way they dress it up us different. I would favour; big death duties and equality between "self employed" (note the use of inverted commas) and employed tax and ni rates. But then these would both benefit me :).
The reality is that it is employed people like me in the middle to high income bracket that pay most of the tax and NI.

Admittedly it was many years ago, but when I used to do the payroll the top NIC was not that high and everything over had no further NIC

Much the same now, however, as usual the masses in the lower and middle pay ranges pay a proportionately higher % on NIC. Employers NIC also raised which will hit employers of big numbers of low to middle earners.
