Hey up.
What’s the best price folk are getting for 200+ plastic electric fence stakes? The last lot I had too but was 3 years ago and I got them down too £0.60 each. Can’t get them below £1.03 now. Anyone beaten that? Running very close too the line this time and I always like too have a couple of hundred ready for when “the call” comes in.
Cheers

APS are usually very competitive. We use the economy post and have lasted a good few years. They mail order 01377254728.

Got 50 black Hotline ones ( all they had in at the time) from one of our local tractor dealers (Farmstar) a couple of weeks ago for £1 each.

Had a couple of hundred Rappa ones (complete with Yorkie) for double that. I know they're better stakes but I'm beginning to wonder if they're twice as good now they've got to that sort of money?

I do like the hotline stakes. I’ll have too get on the phone on Monday. I don’t think they are worth twice the amount myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like rutlands there easy too work with from the bike seat and if they break you don’t break your heart … if you buy 500 Rutland ones is £500… if you buy 500 rappa ones it’s £1000… you can break a lot of stakes for that price difference

That’s a big thing I suppose. I’ve been using hundreds of the yellow RAPPA stakes for the last 9 winters and I have broken one.

All you folks buying cheap stakes, of various brands, does that mean you have mixed colours and types in a run?

I’m not sure my OCD could cope with that.🤐
Nothing like a bit of variety
Best you don't buy the 500 I mentioned earlier as they come in random colours
And I bet there's no yorkie bar included

Iv broke about 20 in last 3/4 years I would hazard a guess at and Iv probably about 2000 stakes all green and black

If you want cheap you can buy 500 for £395 delivered on ebay
Don't know what they're like but 79 pence each
Would that be the Knights plastics ones?? Had 2 pallets of them a few years back. 52p each. There were a few bendy ones… 😂😂 but the rest of them were right enough and at that price I’m not bothered!!

Where’s the excitement in that? I’ve green, black, white, orange, yellow, blue, purple and I did have 20 bright pink ones. But I gave them too the wedding venue next door too use in the car park. I couldn’t bring myself too put pink fencing out anywhere! 😂😂

There’s a bundle of electric fence gear as an item on the new grant scheme. It’s a long way off the £2000 minimum claim, but worth a look if there’s other things you could do with

Actually Iv got some white ones that I got given few years ago that are like 2metres long for horses I’m guessing they’re good for sloping corners because the spike on the bottom is twice the length of a standard post

Just had a look and they're made by S C M products in south wales
Probably not the best quality, but for getting started at that price would be OK and replace with better ones as they break rather than spending big bucks at the beginning.

We started using rappa 2 years ago as was sick.of the cheap ones breaking with cattle. To date none of the rappa ones have broke so that is all son will let me.buy now. Worth the extra I think.
