Very sad news that came as a bit of a shock. Originally from down far West Cornwall my mother along with my aunties and uncles went to primary school with him and he went to YFC with both my parents. His brother Les passed only a few months ago. Both true Cornishmen and will be sorely missed.

I saw him at his club many years back. Everybody laughed!

Was he the sort of comedian who was different off the stage (Jethro being separate from the man himself), or was he Jethro, but more restrained?

Cornwall lost a piece of itself today.
Remember him from my YFC days. He was a fair hand at sheaf pitching and I will never forget the day at County Rally when he was entered in the shepherd and imaginary dog competition.
