Protected vented ridge works well here. Tried it on a shed and then converted the rest.
Beef cattle on straw here, but smoke bombs show the ventilation works well.

Ventilation is work outable.
£500 invested in checking it's values and you only need to save 4 mastitis cases.

How big is the mushroom canopy?
I was looking at a shed at a farm the other day and the canopy sheet was little bigger than the opening and was wondering if rain would blow in.
The canopy sheet is more than double the size of the opening here

Agree with the above, ventilation needs looking at properly. Nothing worse than damp fetid air. Even worse in summer.

Done similar here on the new shed but used a flat sheet of tin to cover the gap.

Protected open ridge, only way to go.
Ventilation of your shed is the most important part of the design.
Easier to close up after build if too much ventilation rather than try to improve it.

we’ve made similar here but made the gap bigger and used Perspex so it acts as a light ridge.

Biggest problem with gapped sheeting is you cant put skylight making shed dark.
Looks an excellent job have you skylights on shed or does enough light come trough on ridge.

We had a gapped roof on one shed which was fine when new but as moss built up it let more and more water in. No simple ,effective and practical way of keeping it clean so bit the bullet and re roofed the side over the cubicles conventionally and left the ridge open, luckily in our case the ridge was over the centre of a scrape passage.
Should have done it sooner, I wouldn’t recommend a gapped roof.

Far better a bit of rain blowing in during rough weather than condensation when the air outside is still - A cattle shed is best built with a timber or galvanised frame.
We also have skylights in the gapped roof, they have half a length of tin at top and bottom and the middle section is two lengths of perspex. All the perspex does need replaced now though as is dripping onto the beds. Have new stuff ordered just waiting on it arriving
