I'm going to tell @delilah on you... :ROFLMAO:

Just had to track that back to see that you are talking turkey. Funnily enough.....had a phone call last night, mate who works for a big firm had got three turkeys as not everyone had taken one home as their xmas pressie from the boss, did I want one, no but I would make a phone call, saw him tonight and he had just delivered them to the homeless shelter I had put him onto, they are going to be serving them for xmas lunch tomorrow :) .

So glad to hear that. I hate wasted food and good to hear that a few folks down on their luck will be reaping the benefit 👍

I can’t see how, apart from a very few pens, the buyers in a mart the size of Welshpool can know who’s lambs are who’s.
Some vendors will be there but most are just stood somewhere nearby to get their prices. Very few are stood in the pens with the lambs.
I sometimes think we all live in different countries not different parts of the same country! A drover helps us sort lambs just before they go into the ring, they are weighed on the way in and I go in with them, show them and often have a quick word with the buyers. Your name and the weights are on an electric board. If you take lambs regularly and if you give them a little bit back they definitely know you and your sheep.

I can't understand people dropping off stock and leaving them and then complaining about what a bad deal they got. It takes enough time, effort and cost to produce the things that it must be worth spending a bit of time marketing them. I wouldn't be keen on using a market that didn't allow this.
