Dogs opening their Christmas presents
Habit ! I tag everything in the field right at birth. Within a day they are like greyhounds and I can’t catch themNice calf but jeepers quick of the mark with the tags
Still blows my mind how some can draw like that @Fraserb wife did a drawing of my wife’s horses from photographs it is absolutely fantasticWe were given the painting below for a present yesterday. Done by a friend of my stepdaughter, I thought it was exceptional. She’s only about 23 and the photos below show how much of a likeness she was able to get. Such talent in one so young!

I used to but I spotted that one day a cow was kicking its newborn calf off because the tag was rubbing her udder so I now leave it till they get well used to it .........and also to make sure the buggers are going to live !Habit ! We came to this part of France 16 years ago and I have always noticed that the mornings continue to get darker after the shortest day, and nothing changes much until mid January. At the moment, not fully light until 9.00. Reminds me of the time in the late sixties when ‘They’ experimented with not putting the clocks back and we stumbling about in the dark for the first hour of the working day.Latest sunrise of the year this morning. The days can get longer in the mornings now too.

Agreed, world on maximum 2.5 degree tilt so everything out of kilter. Warmer autumns/winters, colder springs plus delay to lighter mornings. We came to this part of France 16 years ago and I have always noticed that the mornings continue to get darker after the shortest day, and nothing changes much until mid January.
