Can I spread lime on top of my stubbles and maybe a week later follow with pig slurry infront of the plough, or did I read somewhere there is a reaction between lime and slurry?

yes, first choice would be to put the lime on top of the ploughing, but with my heavy stuff it can be only a matter of a day after the plough between it being too wet to travel and it drying like concrete, so on top of stubble would have been handy.
I understand your reasoning,
I just wouldn't want to spend 30-60 an acre to then essentially bury the lime below the seed germination area, obviously the roots will eventually find the higher pH soil.

Don't plough lime under. That defeats the object of applying it.
There is a reaction between lime & slurry, though I can't remember the details. There was a thread on it a while ago & @Cab-over Pete has the knowledge of how they work together.

Not sure I know of an adverse reaction with lime and slurry, but as @PSQ says there is definitely something with gypsum and slurry.
Whilst I agree with you all in that lime should not ideally be ploughed under, I do have several customers who do just that. They plough every year so I think that’s the key, as long as it’s ploughed up again soon then they don’t use any more lime than their neighbours.

What about lime post drilling or cultivate, lime, drill I know exactly what the op means about critical drilling timing on heavy land.
