Chainsaws

Fudged if I would even touch a top handled saw- I don't have the training for one. Wouldn't even try to use one. Would climb a tree or use a ladder on a small tree and use regular saw if I had to do it. Otherwise pruning saw from ground level would be safer IMV.
I've got one ,it was new second hand ex demonstrator, husky 338 and its a handy saw ,,used to prune a few small trees but I've given up that malarkey so I'm going to sell it ,,getting too old to be crawling about in branches.

They are nothing to be be frightened of as long as you take a bit of caution with them

Many year ago my late Uncle almost lost his arm in a chainsaw accident working on a ladder (unsafe practice I know)
I treat them with the greatest of respect
if you were using one up a ladder for whatever reason (shouldnt be but hay ho) a top handle would be a lot safer than an rear handle

Bottom 2 got new bars and chains from your job lot!? 👍
Do you notice any difference with the new style chain over h25?
The 455 was a Christmas prezie to myself ,it came with the Xcut bar and chain ,the bar on the 365 is from the job lot .
I'm impressed with how they perform, they cope with cross cutting and ripping very well .

I have a stihl chainsaw, think it's a 241?
It has started cutting diagonally
I've turned bar upside down and taken burrs off it but still cuts wonky
Thoughts?

Cannot recommend the stihl 2 in 1 sharpener highly enough. If you can't sharpen a chain with it, you shouldn't be in the same jurisdiction as the saw
