RAPPAs are so over rated when you can have a bodge like this

Baler cord used..... check✔
Unpaid family labour used.... check✔
Old man grumbling at the reckless driving over of turnips.... check ✔

Bonus points..... crop established with a gurt plough and combi drill...... check ✔
Loose more points for number plate and light bar still been there.

Had knocked the 90deg bit of the handle off the silver gate pull with the loading shovel, was going to weld a bolt on but decided on a quick 15min upgrade out of bits I had around.

Tried to push a 3/4 water pipe through a 6” concrete drainage pipe under a lane but it wouldn’t go.

so to plan B the corkscrew thingy was a perfect fit, with a screw through it just to be sure.

Genius,. We had similar problems last week think it was because the end kept riding up and hitting a joint. We used drainage rods as well but had to also enlist some string as ours was 32mm (and we wanted bonus bodging points)

Top grade draining rods, one of my best ever purchases. mine have had so much work the rivets are wearing out!
Which make please.

Yesterday I was trying to get grass roots out of a drain using about 6 metres of rods and a turning handle on the exposed end of the rods. The corkscrew part got caught up in the roots and trying to free it up I must have applied too much torque and one of the screwed connections on my Screwfix rods broke completely ! Very fortunately the connections was just in the open so I managed to get the rods out, but if the break had been further up the drain😢

We use these locking rods which take more time to assemble but can be rotated both ways to get disentangled

Don't know the make, bought on the internet. I think there were 3 diameters, the red ones are thick than screw fix ones and I ordered 2m long rather than 1m. Never take them apart anyway.
