Planning a new building?

Hi All,

If you are planning a new building, whether it is a grain store or maybe a small industrial building then we may be able to help. We offer a building design and drawing service, so we could help you take the risk and chance out of your projects.

We all see on here people saying they have a few quotes for a building and they all offer different specs and steel sizes so what do people think is best and that the price varies but is this due to the difference in spec etc.

We can help you take this variety and confusion out of the process. We undertake structural calculations and/or drawings works for a number of fabricators across the country, we also work direct with landowners and developers with their steel framed structures.

A few of the companies we have worked with are, Fowler & Gilbert, John Ruck Construction, JM Construction, Jaques Int, Powell and Co, FGA Group and Bob Green.

Not only will this process help you secure a good comparison at quoting stage, it will also help you achieve a better price as the risk and unknown of the project is taken out for the contractors. You are also able to buy the various products yourself if you wish as we can break down every aspect for ordering if required.

I have attached a few examples of some of the agri buildings we did last year, some my be forum members buildings.

Happy to chat with anyone who may had something planned.

Do you offer Planning Consultancy also? If not could we be of assistance to your clients? Likewise we do planning for agricultural buildings and occasionally need drawings, there could be some joined up working. Please drop me a message.

Hi George,

We only do planning drawing for permitted development building, we don't get involved with the submitting of applications or at design access statements etc. Therefore I think we should have a chat about it, I will pop you a message.

Are you able to supply design specs to meet Scottish standards?

I have anecdotally heard from a 3rd party of a Northumbrian firm who won't / can't do Scottish work "because the standards are different", apparently.
And yes, I'm currently looking for a structural engineer to do some design work in south east Scotland.
