Yes 250ml Footvax was a long wait in the autumn! Another supplier I use had plenty in stock but were a lot more expensiveFootvax 250ml also hard to get hold of it seems!
Have been told the same here but shouldn’t really be a problem with having it in 500 ml bottles for majority of people. Not sure if it’s scaremongering but had 2 people tell me today that Heptavac is in short supply, only 500ml packs available.Told that there has been a batch failure
Average English flock size is a shade over 400 ewes, so it will inconvenience quite a few I’d imagine.Have been told the same here but shouldn’t really be a problem with having it in 500 ml bottles for majority of people.
Might have a few doses left over but 500 s are less money per dose.Average English flock size is a shade over 400 ewes, so it will inconvenience quite a few I’d imagine.
Yup, but small consolation for the 100 ewe guy - probably ten thousand plus at that size in the country.Might have a few doses left over but 500 s are less money per dose.

Could only get 100ml bottles here between Christmas and New Year.
TBH it's getting plenty dear enough now. Have switched one of our mobs to Bravoxin. Will probably do the rest next year.
Unfortunately we'll have to stick with Heptavac (or Ovivac) for the lambs though. Such a pity Bravoxin or Covexin don't cover pasturella - there's no competition, MSD can just name their price
Don't see much pasturella in our ewes - maybe because of the HeptavacWent over to Bravoxin 10 quite a few years ago, but pneumonia deaths in ewes have been creeping up the last few years, with 2021 spring being fairly bad, so reluctantly we've gone back to Hep P to see if the vast extra expense of the pasturella cover is worth it.
Putting the whole flock back on hep P is painful £££££
Pasteurella and Pneumonia is a bugger! We had big losses last year in ewes and lambs plus 3 more this weekWent over to Bravoxin 10 quite a few years ago, but pneumonia deaths in ewes have been creeping up the last few years, with 2021 spring being fairly bad, so reluctantly we've gone back to Hep P to see if the vast extra expense of the pasturella cover is worth it.

I do the home bred dry ewe lambs again with the left over.Might have a few doses left over but 500 s are less money per dose.
When you went back I guess you had to start all over again with 2 doses then just an annual booster.Went over to Bravoxin 10 quite a few years ago, but pneumonia deaths in ewes have been creeping up the last few years, with 2021 spring being fairly bad, so reluctantly we've gone back to Hep P to see if the vast extra expense of the pasturella cover is worth it.

Yes had to start again,
Hep P is about 2x the price (probably more if using the smaller bottles) of bravoxin 10
The wife was the driver behind the move really, I did protest that we still lost ewes to pasturella in the spring when previously on the hepP system, I'm abit dubious how effective the P cover actually is.
But going to give it a go for 2-3yrs and see how we get on
