I generally regard myself as being honest with almost everything especially in my dealings with the law makers and law checkers.
This may well end though;
Above is a picture of the 4 cows and their calves that we had to DNA test (at considerable expense and inconvenience) to prove that each calf was related to it's mother.
This is because the intellectual heavyweight in charge of registering calves here (i.e. me) forgot to register them in time due to overwork at calving time and then refused to lie about their birth date on the registration page at CTS. The oldest one was 4 days outside the allowed 28 days, the youngest 1 day.
No passports could be issued and the animals would have to be slaughtered on farm and not for human consumption because of this.
No wriggling was allowed by CTS at all, no allowance for perfect registration of the previous 290 calves allowed, never had a red light from CTS but the only advice was 'Get a DNA test done and we will consider issuing you the passports'
Next time I will fib.
