Stopping TFF emails

I do not want or need the email notifications from TFF, as they overload my phone inbox, and I can miss important emails in the blizzarrd! I never use or look at the TFF notifications, even on the desktop or laptop either!

I have ticked every single box in my |Settings| |Preferences| but still they arrive....

Have I overlooked something please?

Yes...

And when someone has responded to a thread I am "involved" in...

I log on far too frequently, and so I just click on the Alert icon to get updates

In Preferences does it look like mine - I don't get emails:

Think you may have a problem with scammers using TFF as a back door to gain email address by notification of wanting more info on a sale item. Received email supposed to be wanting more info on forwarding trailer from a Linda Epstein but is nothing of the sort just a phising scam offering me 1.000.000 USD if I email her at [email protected] It went in my spam box so no harm done but others might be more gullible.

If its from Classifieds - that can be used to send you an email from the Classifieds system. They never get your email address to contact you directly, unless you email them back. We just have to keep adding them to our banned IP list.

There is no such feature within TFF - just the DM system, which can also be abused, but is more complicated to bypass.
