Oh, I thought the posts above suggested wheat was dropping and everyone should bail out now….
I’m not sure Jan/Feb are the best time to sell, I’m sure all the users get topped up pre Christmas so not as much demand in the new year, so I’ll be waiting a bit yet to sell wheat.

Agreed fully with those sentiments. Markets will be quieter and less upward movement until March onwards due to reduced demand. Mills to seem to buy in tranches rather than little and often.

The unknown can and will move markets though - take the situation last year with German milling wheat being imported thus depressing any demand for domestic milling wheat.

The above said.....prices today are at record levels which is never a bad time to sell!

I'm sold up, so shouldn't really comment, if I hadn't sold up though, I would be tempted to keep some to the bitter end, I still don't think there will be much left come harvest. Although demand will be lower at the current higher prices as alternatives to grain are used.

Feed wheat dropped £5 here today . World stocks are up apparently . Lets hope they are wrong as usual .
Every thing here has backed off. Wheat especially feed wheat. Price rationing has took the demand away and moved it to maize. Canola is down to by 40$ a ton. Still a shortage but trader are creating uncertainty to make highs and lows to keep them paid.

The uncertainty may also have the added effect of keeping genuine traders (farmers) on their toes, and encourage more to come to the market.......creating more (genuine/fundamental) liquidity rather than just traded paper liquidity/movement.
