660 miles in and with another 80 to go; a very wet tour of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire

Lunch bought from Mr Rees in Narberth ; a super meat pie . The blackboard tells me the beef this week is a Salers X procured locally

You probably passed one of our places .....could have got the kettle on . 😊😊
.....or something stronger before you cross over the border into the risky @Celt83 territory 😊😊

Bit of luck yesterday,
Was asked if I wanted an old corn roller . Couple were clearing out their late father's garage. So I fetched it yesterday afternoon.

Help people out in their time of need and they never forget .
This couples father broke down some 15 yrs or so ago . His son was ill and asked me for help.
I made a 160 m round trip leaving at 9pm to fetch him back with ny truck and trailer .
....no I didn't charge them !

Couldn't agree more, I am a great believer in what goes round comes round. Helping someone out gives you a great feeling of inward satisfaction.

It's a pain in the arse! So slow
A bit maybe, but sometimes in life you just need to slow down and take on the sheer beauty of where we live.

I worked on a farm in Bristol years and years ago and I would work 15-18 hour days for long stretches and an old boy from a neighbouring farm told me "just remember boy, you'll be a long time dead".

Don't get me wrong I still work hard, even my lad runs to different jobs to be done on the farm, but that old boy was right so I take the scenic route, and little things like watching our lad playing rugby on a Sunday morning makes life a bit bearable!
