Who has taken the plunge and undated their PC?

I did mine over the Xmas break and apart from the fact loads of stuff has moved I'm starting to get used to it. Seems a nicer place to be now.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but i have lost a letter from HMRC which stated that from April all VAT returns have to be digital. I have been doing the farms VAT returns for years with no trouble, then change comes along. Two questions, do i have to pay for digital? usually change means cost. Is there anyway i can avoid this?

Updated my laptop a couple of months back despite it not meeting the new hardware requirements. All seems ok although I haven't done a great deal with it since.

Should be all on .Gov web pages too.
Not come in yet if under the 85k Make Tax Digital (MTD criteria) think.
HMRC forcing us to do it so it should be FREE?
Money making rackets the lot of it.

Didn't they say they weren't doing any more versions after W10 just updates?

Apparently so. Why this is I have no idea. I guess they want to change their business model to one that is more of a service than a product. Windows has become an ecosystem and platform now rather than just an operating system. They know they are competing with Apple and Google now and google hand out their OS for free? That is just the impression I get, not sure how right or wrong I am.

You don't have to update to WIN11 if you do not want to do it. WIN 10 is still working good enough, WIN11 is still unstable and have to updated several times to be as good as WIN10
