I need a 4t 9m telehandler to do about 300hrs a year. 90% of the work is handling straw. Any suggestions taking into account it’ll be well used so needs to be reliable and solidly built. JCB yes but scarce and over priced used in my view having been looking for a while.

Is your 300 hours straw work throughout the year, or mainly at harvest ?

Agreed with above, I run a jcb 532 12 m for my dismantling work, you wouldn’t want to be loading straw with it,

The only high lift machines that seem to have any decent HP about them and fairly quick hydraulics with a agri type joystick is CAT TH414 type machines. Still wouldn't recommend one for bale stacking though

So is it a "Farm Special" model you are looking for with all the Toys?

8m?

manitou do the 845-120. 4.5t 8m. Pretty basic machines, got 2 sitting on 8500-9000hrs, they’re pretty bullet proof.
2nd hand ones not overly pricey.

fine for hard standing, dry fields, sink like a stone if soft going
