I think it was Kev’s way of getting him to the right place at the right time, without waking him. All these back-to-back cheese and wine
This way, if he’s loaded up now and the lorry sets off today they’ll be there by 8am tomorrow. Once offloaded, Pete will be able to step out the Lada, already at site and he’s fully refreshed for a full day of work ahead of him.
