While that may have been true in years gone by you are hard pressed to find it in auto's today, yes, its' available in pickups. but most will be V-6's.
California has the highest gas prices in the nation by quite a margin which accounts for large numbers of electric vehicles in the metro areas..........not so much out in farm country.

Hi RP Happy New Year. There is an element of irony downsizing from a V8 to a V6! S'pose every little helps. From my watching of Hollywood films over the years I though California was the home of small engined Toyotas.

Or you could just buy a V8 powered lawn mower.

Had to Google that - and hey presto. Open the link and scroll down to the embedded you tube video. I can now see why the Californian authorities are taking such drastic action!!

Also, New York state plans to ban burning wood for domestic heating. So no more logs or log merchants, and the isolated rural homesteaders in the Adirondack Mountains will have to install ground source heating. Yeah right.
Hard to believe but US is madder than the UK at the moment.
How will the whiskey stills be heated in the back woods far from anywhere.

That’s mad, fair enough in a metropolis where wood burning will create more issues than it solves. But rural settings where the user grows, cuts and burns their own timber? Doesn’t make sense, just erodes self sustainability and independence.

That’s maybe the plan though.
