Fortunately not. Maybe eating the beans with whole wheat toast was enough to keep me straight. Will think twice before I eat them again now

You've got me thinking about baked beans, now. Aren't they Navy beans? I don't think they can be grown in the UK, but may be wrong.

Green soya beans are marketed as endame beans in the Britain. I prefer peeled broad beans in a salad, but the right sort of broad bean is hard to find in supermarket freezers these days. No trouble finding frozen endame beans.

Come to think of it your right,although soybeans are kidney shaped once the swell up but dry they are round. Either way they were good eating as a kid. Wife won’t let me eat them anymore. Apparently it’s to do with me depleting the ozone layer. Personally I think she doesn’t like the competition. 🤢
