Grabbing a rat by its tail

Nothing to do with poltics or unfaithful partners.

I found a trio of dead rats in the barn, half grown & then loading some small bales, I saw another one same size but very much alive. It dived between two bales but its tail was visible, should I have grabbed it.

Only thing I’d say against doing that,be it alive or dead is that it’s tail drags through it’s p*ss which is your best chance of getting weils
I had a decent pair of gloves on & a good thick jumper, but still dare not do it. Must have stood there 3 minutes deciding what to do, tried stamping between the bales, it ran off.

Regarding weils sooner rats are dead, less weils in the enviroment.

A cornered rat will - if it decides to attack rather than flee - goes for the throat
Never give them a chance to attack
