First feed was yesterday... but was seriously thick fog all day couldn't see bugger all.

Bit different this morning. They're looking in decent nick, so not getting much at all - about 1/3lb head just to tick them over. Needing in for fluke dosing so will get a hand on them soon

Nice day, grounds soggy though even after yesterday being so bonny. Pretty mild for early January, still expecting winter to bite at some point.

Dry ewe hoggs up at the wind farm fetched in this afternoon for a jag of Dectomax and a dose of Flukiver (very sore day for me, using 2 Elanco products 😒) and 4 or 5 lame needed seen to, too

They're wee, but doing alright - should take a lift now getting a good clear out with the jag and dose.

Ewe hoggs getting their nibble... Fluke dosing ewes is this afternoon's plan

Had 28 stores away to Longtown on Tuesday. Just took anything which was walking and saleable. They were small and not great looking... 3 made £97, 13 made £70, 1 made £45, 10 made £40 and 1 made £10 🙈 but before I took them I had said to brother I expect them to average £40... they averaged £59 so I'm actually happy.

There's about the same again (but actually bigger/better lambs) here but they're lame, they've had Alamycin before Christmas and are now on Draxxin. Hope to get them away soon.

Still waiting on this trailer coming 🙄

Weather's been good up here so far, winter slipping in, sheep enjoying the dry days for a change. Its always the average that counts my friend.

You must be doing something wrong! You lamb a month earlier than me and I got £60 for my rabbits at CD this week. Certainly wasn't anything at £10 on Monday, possibly not even £40 although I could be wrong about that bit.

Aye, it's my fault.

It's the youngest /latest lambs from running next door - the summer grass ground which gets bothered with Cocci. I'd time the dose right for the majority (250 lambs) but this last handful would have probably been too young when dosed for it to do any good.

Just shows how critical the timing is with these things. Hopefully, they'll do on lower/better ground and a good bit more feeding (I've seen them come good by May) - but I've kept them/grew them on as much as I can

Fluke dosed the single scanned ewes this afternoon, they're pretty fit and looking well. No pics of them but took this one as the dogs got the hill twins gathered before we walked them down inbye for dosing tomorrow
