I’m reading that Deere’s are hard on fuel, how true it is I don’t know.
It varies with the particular deere and what you are comparing it to. Some models are very good, others are poor.

During the mid 1990s deere tractors were generally very efficient and comparing test results, some of their fuel efficiencies were comparable with the more efficient modern tractors using ad-blue now. Other vintages and particular models do vary a lot.

I read somewhere (perhaps on here) that tractors go up in value based on the age of retirement of people who drove them when they started farming. Therefore they are valuable for a short period of time then there is less interest. So I wouldn't invest, or only do so if you enjoy the tractor itself.

Id say that’s not far out tbh. Grey fergies are worth very little in comparison.

Yeah depending on your own age if you're looking at a long term investment you might want to think about not necessarily what you first drove but what did you and your mates all want your old fellas to buy. Its gonna be a sad day for some if the older massey market collapses in years to come mind along with a few others.
