Since iv had it only light work but who knows prior to me. always had the odd drip but its fair running nowHas it been on light work causing bores to glaze?
Lets hope for the filter then hahah. CheersTry putting a brand new air filter in it.. brand new not cleaned
otherwise it’s rebuild time
Cheers. going to try some nice thick oil and new air filter and cross my fingers for a bit of luck. hopfully that will slow it down. not worried about a little bit of oil leakage - keeps the dust down just not to good on the wifes concreteCheck you have not put a modern high quality oil in it, often older engines prefer older types.
Hi, Im In New Zealand mate. i haven't had tractor for long so haven't oil change yet. That is on the list for next week. Yes when i brought the tractor i did so because they are bullet proof. its not like it will ever do a full days work while i own it so hope to come up with a fix or a patch. Engineer by trade so may get creative with a catch can and back feed it or something. Crossing fingers for new 30 grade oil and new air filterHang on a minute... more details needed ... what oil are you using?
Is it overdue for oil change?
I thought those tractors will do very high hours if used and maintained properly
You are not in uk
Thanks will do. Think i will just replace all filters and rebuild injection pump etc all at the same time as there is a small leak there alsoIs oil filter inverted?
If so it's good idea to fit new filter with valve to prevent oil starvation when starting
Good idea to
Hi, na no smoke and not really that much pressure if you out your finger over it either. No smoke just a little bit of blow passIt is a legendary FPT engine.. the correct oils are only a suggestion from the manufacturer, they will run on sludge if you really want them too
3 cylinders don’t like heat soo quite possible that the piston rings have been done in after a good heating or the block is being starved of air.
Is there much much smoke or blow pass coming out of the breather?
