Do you mean by benefit you mean make some money then yes but this isn’t Just a farming thing is It.

reading the above post from jackrussell is making my calculations re the purchase of the remaining fert a tad more difficult .This could well be the biggest gamble of my farming life now stretching back some 50 years but as a younger man I would have gone for tons , question is am I wiser or have I lost my verve?

75% which I reckon looking at my current crops could well be enough to get a near average yield as dont have a sq yard missing,flooded, struggling etc
No point looking at breaking records this year , just make it pay .

But unless you're locked in, and only a true gambler would lock in that proportion of crop that the extra fert will get you, how do we know what wheat prices will be at Harvest?
