Think you need a second fencer hidden away somewhere, or even better can you connect it to a mains unit

What a glorious week this has been, a bit breezy for a few days, which helped to dry things up a bit but a lovely drop of sunshine to finish it off; well until this morning that is, when it was a tad wet and we had early reports of snow falling in various places!

The lads have finished off the drainage on the driving range at The Vale Golf & Country Club and for now are works there are done. Just over 5000 metres of laterals in and what seemed like 5,000 balls collected. We have to go back at some point in the future as there is still a lot to do, but for now all the “urgent” works are finished. Boss Man Chris and Paul are still there though, cracking on with less intrusive bits and bobs. Currently they are tracing the irrigation mains then will be installing diversions from the existing 300mm drains to help fill the new lake.

Want to say thank you to The Vale Golf & Country Club for their kind words they put on their Facebook page earlier this week. We are over the moon that you are happy with the work we have carried out. It has been an absolute pleasure working not just for you, but actually with you. The lads have told me that they are really going to miss the latte’s though!

Moving from Pershore the King Kev and Cool Hand Luke have been installing a new 110mm water mains for a local estate near Stratford upon Avon. It’s quite a lovely setting and the work so far is going well. Pipe all welded into lengths ready for when the trench is dug to install and backfill section by section. It does sound simple, but as we all know, there are always things to be weary of. Firstly there was a mysterious steel pipe that no one knew about that thankfully turned out to be a redundant water main. The works are on the outfield of a cricket pitch so keeping things tidy and close quartered are a must. Luckily though we are right on the boundary so it should not interfere with play at all once the season is upon us and should be fully restored back to how it is before we broke soil.

After months of deliberation it was decided to purchase a new “Steelwrist Tiltrotator with grapple and bucket for our 13t 360. We also purchased some of their quick hitches to fit to our existing buckets so we have a good selection to use. Handy bit of kit and would like to say thanks to Joe and the team at Steelwrist UK Ltd for sorting it all out. Paul has been practicing and by the looks of it is now ready to sweep the yard!

Dilly Bob has been depressed since they pulled off the golf course as there are no longer afternoon lattes. Boss Lady Jeanette, as always delivered biscuit parcels but even Choccy digestives and custard creams have not quelled his low; although looking at him you can see it has filled the emptiness in his stomach! I even gave him my recipe for my now famous crackers and honey dip (yes, dip a cracker in honey), but feel not even this will satisfy the longing for afternoon latte!!

Been a great week lads, good work and fun was had by all, thanks as always for that. Have a fantastic weekend, I know I will when England beat Scotland in the Calcutta cup on Saturday. See you all Monday, ‘till then, stay safe and stay smiley 😃

A familiar sight to jd owners, welding "new" steps in. The lowest step tends to go bananashaped as you jump on them. I always strengthen them with some strip. I also weld a strip under all steps from front to back under the closed part.
You cannot see the enforcement if you don't look for it which I like.
The welded in steps where salvaged from the scrapheap at the dealers
