Trelleborg tyres very disappointed

FARMING FRIENDS PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AND CONSIDER MAKE SURE WHEN BUYING TYRES YOU CONSIDER THE BACK UP YOU WANT WHEN SPENDING THOUSANDS OF POUNDS ON A SET OF TYRES!!!
Had a terrible experience with these tyres and feel really let down by Trelleborg there backup and support is disgraceful after having a trelleborg representative come out and weigh the tractor and implement when new and tell us we’re to set the pressures and we have always run them higher to be told that after only 1400 hours that they have failed that they were run at to low a pressure after speaking with Trelleborg and they are not prepared to help out in any way our previous tractor doing the exact same job clocked up 4000 hours plus obviously on a different brand of tyre and never ever let us down I also have been in contact with Trelleborg trying to see what they were prepared to do after being told nothing because apparently they have been run at to low a pressure so I asked why they had told us to run the pressure were they did to basically be told that what ever we were told to run them doesn’t matter I think this is terrible of a manufacturer!!! Also I would like to say that it took them 4 and a half months to come back to me with there answer and I would think if I hadn’t constantly been ringing them they still wouldn’t have got back to me. please feel free to share this as tyres are getting so expensive now people can’t afford to just change a £10000 plus set of tyres at less than half way through there life

It’s on a magnum 340 pulling a 9 furrow plough on land and a5 meter simba sl and it goes on a 24 meter dribble bar that is all the tractor does

What have you been doing with them work wise?
The tyres are on a case magnum it pulls a 9 furrow plough on land a 5 meter simba sl and it goes on a 24 meter dribble bar these are the only jobs that tractor does and the previous tractor did exactly the same jobs and the tyres did over 4000 hours and never even had a puncture obviously a different manufacturer

Slightly ott post, but yeah…

The Trelleborgs I had were a massive disappointment compared to the Michelin’s on an identical tractor, premature wear and tyre failure on flints being the issues.
Had to replace with BKT’s due to Michelin shortages but now regretting it due to the BKT’s harsh ride on the road

At least the the BKT’s were cheaper but I can’t wait to see the back of them, don’t think they grip that well either

Get what you pay for I guess !!

Trelleborg tractor tyres are shyte, yes someone’s going to come along and say mine have been fine on my 120hp tractor chain harrowing and fertiliser spreading and rolling on my dairy farm but when you want to send some power through a set and start working the sidewalls to pull the Items the op is using they will barely last past 60% worn, then the sidewalls go.

Trelleborgs on my 120hp tractor sidewalls developed bulges before the cracks at (all and every) cleat got big enough to the air escape

Still 40% tread left on them, but not found anybody willing to part with cash and try them with tubes 🙄

Didn't replace them with trelleborgs.......

Tubes won't help.
Mine did same on 7530.
Put tubes in but cracks nip the tube.
Crack at every cleat.

Well this is a well timed thread…..

I’ve had trouble with the beads splitting slightly on the rear tyres of my MB Zetros lime spreader. Only done about 10,000 kms in maybe 500hrs.

Moreton Tyres put in the claim and with no bother at all Alliance have agreed to replace both tyres after initially suggesting they had been run at too low a pressure. So all good.

It seems they’re not the best for traction so I was wondering about a set of more aggressive tyres for wet or soft going. It has taken ages but only yesterday I found a tyre with almost equal circumference and 30mm narrower, which I thought would do the job…….

But they are Trelleborgs……..

I've had no bother with them. Over 6k hours, 5 years on first set. Got them on replacement tractor and it's done 4800 hours and still plenty life left. Tractor does no roadwork/haulage. Just travelling to fields. Ploughs, square bales, mowers etc.

I don't mess with pressures often. Probably run too hard if anything
