No it will be washed in, but it binds to the soil particles once in the soil. It may take a few weeks to get worked in by the worms anyway. The neutralising effect will be evident this spring onwards.

Mag lime certainly went up from 6 to 7/t ex durham area, then a 17/t haul to here in walking floors. What's the local lime like up there? It didn't stack up to get it down to Perthshire.

Well, if you just threw it in the air today it would land somewhere! We run our own spreader.
Cheapest way of getting the Dufftown stuff down the road is to buy it through Simpsons.
They bring it down as a backload from delivering malt up there.
Much better quality lime than the local Perthshire calcium stuff.

Normally buy ours through ringlink. It's invoiced through Angus lime.
