He is a lovely looking dog though @Hesstondriver , almost an exact colour match for your Simmentals!
Our last Springer was so gentle that the cows all let him lick their noses at the feed barrier, as did Mel's horse!View attachment 1011178
Very similar indeed. I’m not sure who is the softer out of these two the bull or dog

Looks like trouble.....
I don't know about huntaways but I once bought an Irish setter and as the seller handed the lead to me he said, "You are going to have a lot of trouble with that dog!"
He was right. The dog started barking at dawn every day. Not so bad in winter, but up here in Scotland, it gets light at around 3.30am in summer.
So every night, I'd put a bucket of water beside the kennel gate. Every morning, I'd stumble out in my dressing gown and wellie boots and throw the bucket of water over the dog. It took a few months, but the dog did eventually work out the connection between a soaking and barking. I eventually sold the dog to Spain (and he wasn't a huntaway, so not your dog).
I’m sorry for your loss.ive got the same issue immenant and it’s breaking my heartLost our old boy the other week at 14.
Last of a homebred line from a pup we bought in 1983.

Its never easy, but it sounds like she had a good life doing what she liked best. She looked a lovely dog.View attachment 1017421View attachment 1017422Lost my old lady Katie today.she would have been 14 next Thursday.been deaf and very lazy all her life and spent a huge amount of time asleep normally under a radiator at my mums.very suprising for a working collie with isds registration and a long pedigree that I never bothered with as she was only ever going to be a pet.been slowing down recently and took her to vet on Tuesday evening to be told she had a tumour on her spleen and she may have a few days or a week if lucky and if it burst she would bleed out.she has been laying in the same place not moving since then and had a vet out this morning to do the inevitable.it has just destroyed me loosing her even though I got another couple of youngsters.the vet from wood farm vets at wymondham in Norfolk where just outstanding and so kind and caring and I could not wish fir better service.gonna miss you Katie
