Churchill iirc without google fought in some war (boar war maybe ) and lead the field on a grey horse ! Come second world war made perfect sense to keep him safe he was older and a dead leader cant lead .
Churchill was very much a loose cannon who made many mistakes in his career before and during WWII, but he had bags of character and was dynamic - unlike his predecessor & that's what was needed from a leader of nation under siege.

My gradfather hated him with passion as before the war grandfather was a coal miner and some dispute or other churchill said “ Get the rats back down their holes “ he never forgave him for that 😂 , A good war leader but beyond that ti extreme .

Social media is turning out to be a terrible thing, is Zelensky good or bad who knows, it's a bit like the UK electing Michael Mcintyre or Jim Davidson or even Bozo Johnson, would they make good presidents maybe, would the likes of Putin XI, Kim, Hitler or the EU take them seriously as a defender of a country they seriously have their eyes on in any negotiations or ignore them, what do you think?

It's amazing how folk latch on to the comedic elements of his past career, but forget to mention that before he turned to acting he got a degree in law, or that he built his own successful production company or founded a successful political party almost from scratch. As an elected representative of his country having won both the presidency and the parliamentary elections with a majority not seen in recent history I suspect that he might get a bit more respect than you think.

or even better, nobody turn up to watch the match
Not a fan of football myself, but I would like to see all players of all teams come out wearing armbands in the Ukrainian colours... against the "non political" rules, but stuff them - if players are allowed to take the knee for BLM, they should be allowed to show solidarity for the Ukrainians!

I wonder if a lot of these reserves were moved before the war?
Even his yacht left Hamburg before the war despite not having repairs completed.

The level of potential internal inflation in Russia could be huge due to the devaluation of the currency. Putin will have to seriously curb any grain exports from Russia to avoid the citizens starving. China won’t be able to save the day and are wary of getting too close.

This just shows how twisted Putin is to reality, probably more a case of how he reverses out , normally bullies can’t stop for loosing face, I think he’s been given more credit than he deserves.
