I wouldn't bother it's going to be expensive enough this year already and unless you've some good customers it will cost you not themThinking of putting additive applicator on baler (fusion) for some customers . Jeepers I only want it to spray some liquid on not row it up and bale it too.The Agco Hay Boss system is fully automatic, it'll adjust the additive rate to match the input rate of grass. Profitable Farming Co in Devon are the UK agents.
The price on the other hand will make you wince, last time I enquired (about 3 years ago) the system cost about £12k IIRC, so God knows what it is now.
Best bet on a budget would be to look for a second hand system someone is taking off another machine. Though there's not so many of the round baler systems out there, they tend to be fitted to conventional balers. The systems are semi-interchangeable, if you bought a second hand conventional baler system you'd have to have it reprogrammed by the importers before fitting it on a round baler. Plus a lot of the fittings wouldn't swap over either.
When I was looking for one for my big baler I found a second hand kit (ironically off a round baler) for about £2.5k, but it cost me the same again to get it reprogrammed, buy all the extra parts I needed and have it fitted to my baler.
Thanks that’s been very helpfulI have used these for the last couple of years, it’s absolutely fine. If you have a drum you can be all set up for less than £100. I bought 2 pumps in case one broke mid season but haven’t needed the second.

I’ve got a tank like this we already had, but any 200l drum would do if you could mount it somewhere handy,

Just a bit of 2 core wiring needed and a few hours to fit it up tidy and you’re away. I liked that controller because it gives a definitive %, 0-100. Calibrate it with a jug and note the results down of what each % gives in terms of l/min.
You will probably need a nozzle on a baler, and a filter. I didn’t bother with either and left it open ended on a forager but it was feeding into the back of the blower housing
