Just had a price for Nitram. £955/ton for artic load and CF 24-8-8 plus sulphur at £905/ton, again artic loads. If you haven’t yet secured your Spring fertiliser needs, don’t leave too long. Delivery dates now stretch two to three weeks hence and there may not be any to order again soon. Yara have shut their continental factories it seems.

Wonder if there will be an increase in free range cattle? My dad would tell me about an old lad back in the day would just turn the old cows out to ‘graze the long acre’

I’ve got two artic loads on the way but one from Yara ordered some time ago and one of Origin ordered today for after first cut. These will blow a big hole in my cashflow but I intend to further cut use by 15% this year, having already cut use by 15% last year. Luckily I will have fair reserves of silage in the pit this Summer from last year so don’t expect my herd output to be cut by more than 10% if all goes well.

More concerned about the price of cattle cake really. I use far more tons of that than of fertiliser.
