No engine should be fettled without being dynoed before and after.I'd be hesitant without it being put on dyno, getting 210hp out of a tractor designed with 160hp sounds a bit scary to me. Can't a dealership do it?
Don't be completely put off. Every vehicle in our yard has been fettled. But on dynos or rolling roads and done by people who really know their stuff. Changes have been made within the limits of the engines and transmissions and they are serviced regularly with good oil and filters. I would stay away from generic flash maps and tuning boxes. And lastly I would disagree that a man with a laptop can't do a better job than a big manufacturer with a massive R&D department. They have to produce a one size fits all tune where as a good custom tuner will produce a map for your needs. Lastly don' t go for silly increases.Company inquired too seem to have a good reputation and do dyno before and after . Was hoping for some positive feedback there must not be as popular as we thought
Give him a ring, tell him what you want, he has different maps for different results, and he does the development work on a dyno, he's done several for me with no issues and one is on big hrs now.Currently running a jd 6175r . If we have it remapped by the said "doctor " what can we expect and what are peoples opnions and benefits that have had it done ?
He’s mapped more JD tractors than anyone else in the Uk,just don’t ring him,he talks for hours. Many thanks,, company at first enquiry is this .... any feedback
