i think he has been “moved to a different role” technically …………….

but his email was VERY damming and clear proof of the cozy relationship that existed between AHDB, NFU, AIC, UK flour and Dead Tractor

I guess AHDB had no choice but to do something about that, it was full on gross misconduct in my opinion

I have known Martin for over 15 years and had many dealings with him. If he has been “sacked” that is very unfortunate. Before using such provocative language are you sure that he is not a victim of restructuring?
I always found Martin helpful and approachable.

There are many good people gone from AHDB. I only found out at the NFU Conference that Rebecca Geraghty is no longer with them. Rebecca will be a huge loss, there was no one better there. When she was leading HGCA she commanded huge respect from the whole team, a truly inspirational team leader.

most of the good guys (and girls) are leaving - if you talk to them and ask why the same name keeps coming up !

they have clearly had enough, cant say i blame them its an organisation in desperate need of culture change and reform

from the AHDB. He’s been caught colluding behind the scenes with the NFU, RT and AIC. Emails obtained via FOI show this collusion against U.K. farmers.

I’m Will Jackson from AHDB.

I wouldn’t normally post on here. However I think it’s important to clear up that this is not true.

I think that speculation about individuals and their jobs is appalling and shouldn’t be discussed on a public forum.

Afternoon Will,

I don't disagree, and I found Martin to be very helpful and good at his job. Always replied promptly to emails and took time to give a considered view of issues (although I should say, sharing information directly to RT, AIC, etc. didn't really appear to be in the best interests of levy payers imho).

Have we got any news yet about any changes to market access for UK grain? Has there been any progress in getting market access in a not dissimilar method to how imports are allowed access? Or are we stuck with RT?

It really does seem unfair that AIC had two different market access rules. One for UK grain, and a completely different set of rules for imports. And as soon as we asked for market access by one of the same methods as imports enjoyed (declaration of pesticide use) AIC removed that option, even though it had been available for many years. It's not surprising that farmers feel as though they are been forced to remain in RT.

Would be interesting to hear if AHDB have made any progress on this? Or how AHDB are tackling the situation. It's been over a year now, and still no change.

It would be great if AHDB could discuss this on these open forums so all levy payers can see what progress there has been, and what is being done about it.

Regards,

Steve.

What has the general thoughts been at AHDB @WillJAgri ? Is the general consensus that AHDB will do nothing? Or are AHDB going to help levy payers get equal market access?

And what did AHDB think when you guys heard that AIC had removed the pesticide declaration method of market access (as soon as we started asking for it)?

You can see why the OP used language such as "collude". And why some farmers think the different organizations are ganging up on the farmers to make sure the have to remain in RT, and making sure RT doesn't haemorrhage members and then collapse.

In the interests of clearing things up, could you tell us exactly what has been going on?
Asking as a levy payer, do I have a right to know?

Well maybe you should post more often and answer questions . After all , we do pay your wages whether we like it or not. And you were handing our money to red tractor and colluding with the NFU in doing so.

We all have a right to see the emails. Either by then just being posted here, or by being told what to ask for in a "copy and paste" foi.

Adhb- I forgot you'd rather leach levy payers money ; work to shaft us via RT; and maneuver to avoid a straight vote on being closed down. Don't, don't underestimate the huge I'll feeling we have towards these freeloaders. AIC - you're next.
